A ZFS snapshot is a read-only copy of the file system. It will not consume additional space when created. It will however grow in size when data gets modified. Snapshot contents can be accessed through a special .zfs/snapshot directory

By calling this book Game Programming Patterns, I certainly dont intend to imply that the Gang of Fours book is inapplicable to games. On the contrary: Part Two of this book revisits many of the patterns first described in Design Patterns, but with an emphasis on how they can be applied to game programming.

Instead of trying to refute Design Patterns, I look at this book as an extension of it. You can think of Design Patterns as The Joy of Cooking. Regardless of what course youre preparing, there will be a recipe in there for you. But if youve decided to really focus on baking, a book dedicated to desserts and pastries can take things further.

Welcome to Leo's Notes

A collection of random notes on various topics.
This is mostly for my own personal use, but if you see a flagrant error (which isn't entirely impossible!) let me know.

This is Leo's personal Wiki. It's a place where I document things I'm using, working on, or trying to learn. As you might be aware already, the content is heavy on technical computer stuff from the lens of a systems operator with some random bits sprinkled here and there.
