My DG31PR Intel motherboard has a Core2 Duo E7200 @ 2.53GHz CPU.

Bios Update

The latest BIOS revision for this board is 071 released in 2012. Sadly, Intel has since stopped publishing and offering the BIOS updates for this motherboard from their website since 2019. Fortunately, a copy of this can be found at the University of Latvia at http://priede.bf.lu.lv/ftp/pub/OS/mates_deli/Intel/DG31PR/BIOS/

System turns off after a minute

Of course, the reason why I wanted to do a BIOS update is because this board turns off after about a minute when I have a GPU plugged in to the PCI-E slot. The board runs fine when the GPU is removed. Once the board powers off on its on accord, the power switch or reset switch have no effect and can only turn back on after power cycling the motherboard. The PSU still provides the 5v standby line and the 5v standby LED on the motherboard is still lit.

I suspect this to be a PSU issue but can't confirm for certain. The same symptoms appear with a different graphics card. Everything runs normally until it turns off. Alternatively, perhaps there is something with this particular motherboard that causes it to turn off when a GPU is connected.
