MKVCleaver uses MKVToolNix to extract specific tracks from a MKV file.

Extracting Subtitles from a MKV file[edit | edit source]
Run MKVcleaver and then open a MKV file. Select the subtitle you want to extract and then click on extract.
This tool will generate proper .srt subtitle files which you can then load as external subtitles in Media Player Classic Home Cinema via VSFilter (required if you want to load multiple subtitles).
