Extracting subtitles from an MKV file

Extracting a specific subtitle from a MKV file is very easy:

Download and install MKVToolNix.
Run the MKVToolNix-GUI tool and load the MKV you wish to extract subtitles from.
Deselect every component except for the desired subtitle.
Change the export file extension from .mkv to .srt and
Click 'Start multiplexing'.
