Linux

On a clean installation of CentOS (or any other RH derivative), run the following code:

yum install -y mesa-libGL-devel libXext-devel libX11-devel perl-Time-HiRes make gcc
wget https://byte-unixbench.googlecode.com/files/UnixBench5.1.3.tgz
tar -xzf UnixBench5.1.3.tgz
cd UnixBench
./Run

Issues

For newer versions of gcc (>= 4.8), you may get the following error:

gcc: error: missing argument to ‘-march=’
make: *** [pgms/arithoh] Error 1

You will need to add an extra option to the Makefile:

 -march=native
