Setting up the Arduino IDE

To write custom code for the ESP32 using Arduino, you will need to add the ESP32 boards in the Boards Manager:

Additional Arduino boards in IDE
  1. File -> Preferences -> Additional Boards Manager URLs, add: https://dl.espressif.com/dl/package_esp32_index.json
  2. Tools -> Board -> Board Manager -> Search for ESP32 -> Install
  3. Select ESP32 by Espressif Systems
